This has the distinct look of a Jaguar SS100 about it. The shape is right, the wheels are right, the headlamps are right and, sticking out just a little in front of the radiator, that is also right. They didn't have the Jaguar on top of the radiator so that not being present is also right. So could it be?
I'm pretty sure it's not a Jaguar either John, I think it's a kit car.

I'm still dreaming but there is a company selling replicas in kit form. I've just spent another 30mins on their website trying to decide one way or the other and whilst it does look a bit iffy I still can't make my mind up. Probably not an original, don't know who would put a belt across the bonnet of an original, but could it be a kit replica?
Some time in the dim and distant past I remember watching a tv program which was about kit cars. As far as I can recall there was one like this bearing a passing resemblance to an SS100. It did, however, and the brain might be playing tricks here, have a Ford 2 litre engine. I would still love it to be a real one though!!!
A friend of mine who knows much more than me has had a look and he agrees with everyone else that this must be a kit car. And I so wanted it to be an SS100!!! Ah well.
