Volvo 144 (1974)This Volvo 144 was seen in Whitley Bay Tyne and Wear (North East England) c1999. I had a similar one the same colour a couple of years earlier.
The 144 was the first European Car(I think) to feature the High Impact bumper bars, originally developed in the USA. They also had many other safety features long before anyone else did.
These were good solid cars and very advanced for their time. I loved the one I had.
