Help - what is it?

I almost missed this as it went past me. The quality suffered as a result of the haste of the photo. Hence I have no idea at all what it is.
Over to you guys!

Hi John,
would you be able to crop the original photo so we could see more detail of the car? If needed, happy to help (just email it to me).

Look's very much like a Triumph TR2, what do you think

Hi Marcel,
I will email the original to you but I have cropped it down an awful lot already. I didn't have time to zoom in at all sadly.

Hi John
I reckon it's a Jowett Jupiter

Added by Roger Mason on 25 October 2010.
The vehicle is a Jowett Jupiter they were made in Idle near Bradford between 1950 and 1954 and the total number built was a mere 900. They were powered by a 1486cc ohv engine and had quite some success in motor sport with a 1950 Le Mans Win and Class 1-2 in the 1951 Monte Carlo. One of my School Teacher's had one in exactly the same British Racing Green.

Hi Richard and Roger,
I see the connection with TR2 but I think Roger is probably right with the Jowett Jupiter.
I have just searched the web, wonderful thing the web, and found a picture of one from much the same angle as my photo. It does look to be the same.
Now if only it will come by again when I am ready for it.
Thanks chaps.

Thanks Ray.
Assuming this to be original it must be quite a rare beast and I was fortunate to see it.

John had sent me his original photo which I've cropped. I replaced the previous photo, hopefully this makes identification easier?
