Hillman Avenger

Hillman Avenger, 1972 RVX 747K. Not to sure about the colour(a personal taste thing)or the after market alloys.
The Hillman Avenger was a rear-wheel drive small family car originally manufactured under the Hillman marque by the Rootes Group from 1970–1976, and made by Chrysler Europe from 1976–1981 as the Chrysler Avenger and finally the Talbot Avenger. The Avenger was exported to North America and sold there as the Plymouth Cricket.
The Avenger was initially produced at Rootes' plant in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, England, and later at the company's Linwood facility near Glasgow, Scotland.

The original colour of this car was cypress green but the previous owner changed it to grasshopper green in 2010, still an original Hillman colour and I kind of like it so maybe it is a personal taste thing! The alloys in that picture have now gone (for sale!!) and have been replaced with 70s ford alloys instead, not original but more in keeping with the age of the car. The aluminium tape on the wing was the result of a hit and run outside my house and is still on the pending file for repair!

Hi Simon. So I take it it was you I saw parking it the day I was down taking some snaps of the fishing boats. And when I saw it I just had to photo it, brought back some nice memories, I had an orange/black Tiger in the mid 80s (that was fun). Glad you've taken those awful alloys off, and hope maybe I'll get to see it when it's all repaired.
It's great to get some feedback, and especially from an owner, thanks for that.
